2026 Homecoming Information for Silks and Flags Participants
Silks, flags and woodwinds are featured in the 2026 Homecoming halftime on Oct. 3 vs. the Washington Huskies. As usual, silks and flags will perform postgame.
Halftime Performance Songs/Routines
· Sing, Sing, Sing: Same as we have always performed – Regular A and B or easier Modified A and B. We will be front and center on the field for this chart.
· You’re Gonna Go Far Kid: Old and new easier routines available; we will be on the sidelines for this tune.
You will find videos for the various routines at https://tinyurl.com/TMB-Silks-Video-Library
We will contact you to provide the routine you will be performing to field chart positions. There is a 16-count recurring sequence you can perform for any routine.
Flags
We are using the same Trojan head flag that we have used the last two years at Homecoming. If you need one, the cost is $30. Cash only. Contact the Silks Alumni Team to arrange for pickup: silkscoordinator@tmbaa.org.
Flag Poles – Bring Your Own
Please contact the Silk Alumni Team if you need further information on poles: silkscoordinator@tmbaa.org If you are only performing postgame you can use any flag you have.
Sunday Rehearsals
We will have three rehearsal sessions on Sundays – you can attend on campus at Heritage Hall or via a virtual live-stream. Please email or check the What’s App group for streaming information (see Communications section).
· Sunday, Sept. 13: 2 to 4 p.m.
· Sunday, Sept 20: 2 to 4 p.m.
· Sunday, Sept. 27: 2 to 4 p.m.
Friday Night Before the Game Rehearsal and Field Position Charting
We will rehearse from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday night before the game at Heritage Hall, before joining the band rehearsal on Felix Field at 6 p.m. (or earlier if we can).
On Friday night, we will assign your charted field positions for halftime. Attendance on Friday night is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged for charting purposes so you will know your spot on the field and how to get there. Saturday morning rehearsal is very short!
Game Day Rehearsal
We will rehearse in the morning before we go onto the practice field for the run-through with the band. Arrive by 8:15 a.m. If its is a noon kickoff, the call time will be earlier.
What to Wear on Game Day
No changes from prior years – a red TMB alumni shirt (see https://tmbaa.org/ for purchase options), long black dance pants are preferred, athletic shoes (no color preference). If you do not have black pants, long, nice-looking jeans work since alumni band members wear jeans – but, if at all possible, please wear black pants that you can move in.
Communications
Once we have the list of silk and flag participants, our Silks Alumni Team will reach out via email to provide updates for those participating in halftime or postgame. Please reach out for information, as we may not get a list until very close to Homecoming.
