In just five years, the Trojan Marching Band Alumni Association went from dream to reality.

Launched in June 2019 when some 70 TMB alums met on campus to hear the plans of founders Rick Nordin and Marty Lichtmann, the TMBAA has attracted nearly 1,000 members and contributed more than $500,000 to support the TMB and alums alike.

This remarkable growth led to TMBAA’s selection as USC’s Volunteer Organization of the Year in 2024.

Read our first TMBAA Times Newsletter to learn more about our history and commitment to The Spirit of Troy. There’s a year-by-year timeline, chronicaling our journey.
