In just three short years, the Trojan Marching Band Alumni Association went from formation to recognition as USC’s Volunteer Organization of the Year. The prestigious award recognizes extraordinary efforts to engage USC alumni lifelong and worldwide and to build a culture of philanthropy among the Trojan Family.
The award was presented at USC’s annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner on Sept. 15, with more than two dozen Trojan Marching Band Alumni in attendance. Dr. Arthur C. Bartner and Dr. Jacob Vogel were on hand to hear Rick Nordin, founding president of the Trojan Marching Band Alumni Association, accept the award on behalf of the organization. In addition, TMBAA Board Member Jan Berkeley received a Widney Alumni House award for her work chairing the TMBAA’s 2021 Homecoming Reunion Committee.
Winning the Organization award was a collaborative effort, with TMBAA members teaming with Drs. Bartner and Vogel to submit an application that captured the organization’s culture and accomplishments.

The TMBAA thanks all alums and members for their efforts to make this recognition possible. Joining the TMBAA or renewing your membership helps to provide continued support for TGMBITHOTU.
