Reunion Commemorates First Trip in 1973
All TMB Alums Invited
It’s a golden and silver anniversary all rolled into one. And all Trojan Marching Band alums are invited.
2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the Trojan Marching Band’s historic first trip to Notre Dame stadium in 1973. The Oct. 14 game also marks the 25th time the Spirit of Troy has made the journey.
To commemorate these milestone events, the Trojan Marching Band Alumni Association is organizing a weekend reunion in Chicago from Oct. 12-14 for all TMB alums who have made that trip, and recognizing those alums who made that first visit.
We’ve got an exciting weekend planned, starting with a reception for all TMB alums on Thursday and a dinner for that inaugural class, the Navy Pier rally on Friday and round-trip transportation from Chicago to South Bend for the game on Saturday.
Details are still being worked out, but now’s a good time to make plans and mark your calendars. We’ve already reserved a block of rooms at a special TMB alumni rate at the historic Warwick Allerton – the hotel we first visited in 1973. The reservation deadline is June 1. See below for further iformation.
We’re also hoping to obtain a block of game tickets, but there are no guarantees. If you have sources, you might try to use them.
